While the original is no longer available, artists have searched for a microphone that meets the U 67’s high standards and offers greater versatility and power. Now, for the first time in over 50 years, Neumann’s legendary tube microphone is back in production. In keeping with the U 67’s trademark versatility, this reissue has almost the exact same construction and power supply as the original and built to the original specifications with a feature switch to toggle between Cardioid, Omni and Bi-Directional polar patterns. This makes the mic incredibly versatile and perfect for different applications in the studio. It’s built with the KK67 capsule and EF86 tube and other than a slightly modified power supply, meets the vintage specs exactly.
THE MOST VERSATILE MIC IN YOUR ARESNAL
No source is off limits for the U 67. Its high SPL handling, ruler-flat frequency response, detailed midrange, and sweet, velvety character with a hint of delicate airiness make it a first-call mic for drums, piano, acoustic and electric guitars, strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, and vocals. And thanks to its high pass filter, proximity effect becomes a non-issue: singers with a penchant for "hugging the mic" can get intimate with the '67 without undue bass buildup.
The U 67 includes the mic, power supply, cable with vintage correct connections and vintage style suspensions.
